I promise to have a more lengthy blog post in a few days. I’ve been quilting like a mad woman, prepping for classes, and in the next 2 hours, I need to make a skirt to wear TODAY. So, yeah, not much time to blog. But, I leave with this picture. Guess what I’m making!
Enjoy the weekend!
On April 23rd, I pledged the following:
“I, Sarah of The Knitting Archaeologist, sign up as a participant of Me-Made-May ’12. I endeavor to wear at least one (possibly two) handmade items every Saturday and Sunday for the duration of May 2012.’
I made this pledge with the knowledge that I don’t have many me-made items. My first two dresses were made several years ago when I was still cutting out fabric on my bed, and didn’t really understand seam lines or grainlines or even sewing straight lines. But I still love and wear those pieces for comfort. But I digress. The point is I thought I could only find stuff to wear on the weekends. I was wrong.
In the last year or so, I have managed to make 4 dresses, 3 blouses, 3 pairs of bloomers, and 3 pencil skirts. So far I have managed to wear something me-made EVERYDAY. I am quite pleased, but I will be sad when I run out of clothing. I suppose I can dip into my shawl and sock collections if I really get desperate 🙂

I need to cut and sew faster to try to get more skirts and dresses finished for this month! How are YOU doing?
